Mater Dolorosa Carozza - Holy Week Procession
The Carozza of the Mater Dolorosa is one of the most well-decorated carozza in our place. The antique statue is processioned thrice during the Lenten Season, the Friday before the Holy Week, Maundy Thursday, and Good Friday. The family-in-charge had been consistent in making the grieving Mother Mary surrounded with fresh and beautiful flowers. In their homes, they grow several breeds of orchids and various kinds of anthuriums which they also use to decorate for the Good Friday.

The statue has also different colors of the veil. They put on violet on Maundy Thursday and change it to black on Good Friday.

Taken in San Fernando, Cebu.
