Kota Park - Bantayan Island

Nestled in the shores of Madridejos - Bantayan Island, Kota Park is considered to be one of the most historical places in the island paradise. Built in 1790 during the Spanish Era, this footbridge had served as hub or a fort by the local people in order to protect themselves from the approaching danger like pirates.
After the Spanish occupation, it became a public cemetery until 1950s. For over the years, it had been rehabilitated but still preserved its historical value to the locals and to the island's heritage itself. It was said to be the vantage point to experience sunset in Bantayan Island.
