We are like the sun.
We rise for everyone.
We set for everyone.
Sometimes,
We're afraid to show up.
We often hide our whole self
Behind the teasing clouds.

Amidst of the modernization of Cebu, a part of it had remained as historical as it can be. Fort San Pedro, originally called as Fuerza de San Pedro, is the smallest and the oldest triangular bastion fort.
Built in 1738 by Spanish and indigenous Cebuano workers, the fort served as a military defense structure. It also became a stronghold for Filipino revolutionaries in the late 19th century.
This would be a typical Filipino lunch but it seems to be a feast/fiesta to us. We get to have fruits, sweets, appetizers and other dishes. Philippine Mangoes are the best mangoes so far in the world not to mention its sweetness of its smell prior to tasting it. We also get to have salty eggs, locally called as itlog na maalat. A dip in a vinegar with sliced onions would make it taste amazing. Leche flan is a typical dessert made of eggs, milk and caramelized sugar and steamed for perfection.
Get a taste of usual Filipino dishes and you'll experience a different Asian Cuisine Adventure!
My version of Spaghetti alla Carbonara. I had always loved cooking since then and to invent every time makes me love more cooking. I'm into dessert-making, mostly non-bake desserts. I usually play around with gelatin and make something good out of it. This time was different.
I've read a recipe in my aunt's pasta cookbook about carbonara. This is made with regular noodles but with egg sauce, sliced hams and topped with pepper and grated cheese. I was happy with my experiment and it also taste good if you like the traditional unsweet pasta.
The San Isidro Labrador Church is located in the heart of the town of San Fernando, Cebu. In 1858 when it became an independent parish, it is the only religious structure that existed made of very light materials.
In 1870, the current church was started to be built, however, due to insuffiency of funds, it was only finished in 1886. The Gothic design is meant to give the church a majestic appearance.

Located in the heart of the Municipality of Bantayan just across the town plaza, Saints Peter and Paul Parish Church is the most prominent historical structure in the entire island of Bantayan.
Built in 1863, the five-century-old church is made of stones and coral endemic in the island.
It is the first and therefore the oldest parish in Visayas and Mindanao which was founded on June 1580.
Photos are taken before Super Typhoon Yolanda devastated the entire island. It's entirety as a church is preserved after having minor repairs due to the typhoon's damages. Check photos below to see the innate and exquisite beauty of the church.
